Role Overview We are seeking experienced Psychologists to join our team, focusing on risk assessment and the implementation of short-term risk management strategies with Work Cover clients. This role is ideal for a professional who has a strong understanding of mental health crises and is skilled in managing immediate risks while ensuring clients receive the care and support they need. Key Responsibilities Risk Assessment : Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for clients dealing with mental health crises, including assessing the potential for self-harm, suicide risk, and other high-risk behaviors. Short-Term Risk Management : Develop and implement short-term risk management strategies to address immediate safety concerns and stabilize clients. Crisis Intervention : Provide immediate therapeutic interventions for clients in acute distress, focusing on stabilizing symptoms and ensuring safety. Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on risk assessments, management plans, and client progress, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical and legal standards. Case Review : Participate in team meetings to review cases, share insights, and contribute to the development of best practices in risk management. Key Requirements Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist. Strong knowledge of short-term risk management strategies and therapeutic interventions. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and support clients in acute distress. Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
