We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. About Us Melville Occupational Therapy is a well-established and vibrant private practice based in Myaree. We are proud to be a highly resourced clinic with a strong reputation in the community and strong partnerships with many local schools. Our services support a diverse mix of NDIS and private clients aged 0 to 18 years. Our clinic features a fully equipped sensory integration gym alongside multiple therapy spaces, allowing us to provide high-quality, engaging interventions. Therapy is delivered in-clinic as well as in school-based settings. At Melville OT, our mission is to support children and families in reaching their full potential. We also recognise and nurture our therapists’ individual strengths and passions, offering a diverse range of therapy modalities, including: Sensory-based and cognitive approaches Emotional regulation and Neuroaffirming practice Play-based and developmental therapy Visual and auditory processing interventions Self-care and ADL-focused therapy PsychosociAl interventions Fine and gross motor Additionally, we have partnered with Calming Kids Australia , providing our clients and the local community easy access to high-quality sensory, therapy, and educational resources. The Role We currently have a full-time positions available, including Saturday hours. Part-time ours considered. What We’re Looking For Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised by OTC) • AHPRA registration • Current Working with Children Check • Valid driver’s license • Experience as an Occupational Therapist, particularly in disability support • Paediatric OT experience is desirable but not essential • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and strong time management skills Key Responsibilities • Conduct assessments, interventions, and advocacy for a pediatric caseload within the family context • Develop individualised therapy plans, including goal setting and report writing (NDIS & private) • Provide therapy in clinic, community, and school-based settings (including school screenings) • Work with a variety of disabilities, conditions, and age groups • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support children’s development • Run workshops and presentations for teachers, professionals, parents, and peers • Deliver telehealth interventions as required Why Join Melville OT? â Competitive salary based on experience â 4 weeks of annual leave per year â Professional development incentives , including an annual team PD day â 1:1 supervision and mentoring to support your growth â Work-life balance – embedded in our practice culture and contracts â Uniform provided â Opportunities for professional and personal growth within a fun-loving, hardworking team â Incidental learning through collaboration with a highly experienced OT team At Melville OT, we are passionate about providing evidence-based, family-centered therapy in an environment that is both supportive and rewarding .
