We are seeking a marine professional leader that will assist management in orchestrating safety and protocol procedures to ensure the delivery of our unique world class tours. This role is central to ensuring our guests experience the very highest levels of service and safety whilst on board our tours. We require a Master who takes a genuine pride in providing the highest calibre of guest services and leads their crew in the delivery of unforgettable guest experiences. Safely navigate around Whales of many species in a respectful, professional manner (training provided) and adhere to whale watching regulations. Command of 25 meter surface drive vessel as per our SMS, including safety drills, inspections of crew and safety gear, ensuring all crew are inducted and trained in their roles. Excellent boat handling skillset is paramount for this role Safely navigate to and from the continental shelf on our full day tours Vessel transfers to and from Perth - Augusta - Bremer Bay Maintain Engine rooms safety, maintenance, cleanliness and servicing daily Conduct regular Safety Drills Ensure your vessel is maintained in clean, seaworthy and mechanically sound state and instruct staff in the adherence to this standard Confidently manage crew to the highest standards of both service and presentation. Perform Bunkers Interact with customers where required Manage & lead crew Refit work as required Report direct to management Where is the work Our annual migration is as follows; Jan-March - Bremer Bay (Orca Tours) April-May - Perth (Blue Whale Tours) June-August - Augusta (Humpback & Southern Right Tours) Sept-Dec - Perth (Humpback Tours) When outside of Perth accommodation provided. Our Orca & Blue Whale Tours are full day tours to the continental shelf and return (experience desirable) and our Humpback and Southern Right Whale tours are 2 hour twice daily. All tours are 7 days/week - standard 3 weeks on 1 week off - Swings are flexible This is an exceptional opportunity to join a strong family team as our company moves forward in the research & discovery of Western Australian Cetaceans. There will be training provided to the successful candidates on the idiosyncrasy's conducting the tours around whales and other wildlife.
