Company: An innovative mechanical engineering company, focusing on the design and build of medium to large niche engineering products. They employ 500 in Australia and require skilled fabricators/welders/boilermakers to work with other skilled trades on their busy shop floor. Applicants will have at least 2 years of MIG welding experience (2 to 12mm). Work will involve: MIG welding and fabrication of industrial heavy-duty steel frames, conveyor frames, plates, hoppers, brackets & more (generally mild steel). Some TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum parts (finer assemblies), and large tanks. Arc Welding – Stick occasionally for workshop repairs. Sheet Metal Fabrication 1.6mm to 10mm. Flame and plasma cutting. General Machining, operating, and maintaining cleanliness and refurb of the plant. Cutting, roll grooving, pipe threading, and use of power tools and equipment Working on your initiative and as part of a team. Recording any faults/issues that arise. Working to strict HSEQ standards. Lean environment. Forklift desirable. Hours & Pay: Monday to Thursday 6 am to 2.30 pm, then time & a half. Friday 6 am to 1 pm, then time & a half to double time thereafter. $40 to $44 per hour, depending on experience, $80,000 to 90,000 overtime. 4 and a half-day week roster.
