What I Will Be Doing: As a Support Worker in a day program and respite setting, I will empower customers to live as independently and confidently as possible, supporting them in developing daily living skills, maintaining their health and well-being, and staying actively connected to their community. I will support customers in day-to-day life, including personal care and health needs. I will facilitate engaging group activities – art , music , swimming , gardening , or drama. I will build strong, respectful relationships with customers and their families. I will be working with people with intellectual disability , high physical support needs , or complex behaviours. I will use my skills in manual handling , PEG feeding , administering medication and providing transport . I am flexible to work on a rotating roster, preferably from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm , weekdays and days/nights on weekends. As a Northcott Support Worker, you’ll provide personalised, meaningful support to customers in a day program or respite setting . No two days are ever the same — one day, you could be leading a creative art session, and the next, you are helping with daily living tasks to support independence and well-being.
