This pivotal role oversees the Glennie Community Kindergarten and Glennie OSHC (Pitstop and Kindy Care). The Opportunity: Your Leadership Impact Reporting directly to the Head of Junior Years and Acting Deputy Principal, you will be the driving force behind the quality and compliance of our Early Childhood Services. Your core responsibilities include: Strategic Oversight: Directing all daily operations, including staffing, financial planning, budget management, and communication with the school community and stakeholders. Curriculum Leadership : Developing, implementing, and reviewing a rich, engaging curriculum based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKGL). Quality & Compliance: Ensuring the Service maintains rigorous compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), assessment and rating requirements, and all governing legislation and School policies. Team Mentoring: Leading, coaching, and supporting the professional development of our dedicated team of Educators and Teachers, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance. Program Excellence : Ensuring the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities that proactively support the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of every child. Flexibility: Maintain a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time as required for the position What You Bring: Skills & Experience The ideal candidate is an inspirational leader who is kind, thoughtful, and deeply committed to Early Childhood best practice. Essential Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent approved education/training and relevant experience A minimum of 3-5 years' related experience in a leadership or Director capacity within an Early Childhood setting Comprehensive and current knowledge of the EYLF, QKGL, NQS, MTOP and associated Regulations Sound knowledge of business practices, including budget implementation, financial management, and adherence to timelines Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of qualified early childhood professionals The Glennie School prides itself on the values that are imparted to students and will require the successful applicant to be supportive of the Anglican Ethos and comply with all state and legislative requirements under the operation of an independent school.
