We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Civil Foreperson to join our Macquarie Park Bus Depot project team. Working closely with Transport for NSW this project will accommodate approx. 150 battery electric buses, supporting public transport services to the lower North Shore and Northwest suburbs of Sydney, stretching to Chatswood and Parramatta. The project scope includes construction of electric bus charging stations, wash bay, maintenance workshop plus administration building. This multi-million dollar project is set to commence late 2025 and will provide essential infrastructure to Northwest suburbs of Sydney. You lead the supervision and delivery of the project, in efficient and timely execution of construction activities. You will ensure safety first, quality, environmental and stakeholder objectives are achieved, as well as monitoring of program and forecasted budgets to ensure the delivery of works within critical program date. How you’ll connect to the role: To be successful in this role, you will have leadership experience to support and motivate site teams, ensuring the focus remains on safety, quality, cost and schedule in the planning and execution of our work. You will also have: Proven technical knowledge and a track record of delivering civil construction projects within a safe working environment, identifying hazards and assessing risk through regular safety audits and environmental risk assessments, and resolving daily site issues Previous experience with operating a variety of civil construction plant, including excavators, positracks and rollers. Experience operating graders will be highly regarded; Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines; The ability to positively influence and lead a team; Contributing to the development and implementation of SWMS and attending/leading daily pre-start meetings to address all site requirements; Scheduling, forecasting, procurement and management of materials, plant, personnel and subcontractors; Monitoring weekly/monthly program and identifying delays; Achieving daily productivity targets and managing/monitoring project costs; Giving feedback to the Project Manager on individual and team performance, safety, quality and timeliness of work. Computer literacy with an ability to complete reports in a timely manner will be highly regarded; The pre-employment process will include a medical check, including drug and alcohol screening.
