Position Information Holroyd High School is an HPGE partnership high school with a current enrolment of 558 students 7-12, including 86% non-English speaking backgrounds. As a proudly diverse and inclusive institution, we place a strong emphasis on explicit teaching to build high expectations for all students, and Choice Theory to foster a culture of autonomy, collaboration, and responsibility, creating a safe and nurturing environment where all can thrive. The school has an Intensive English Centre for newly arrived students of non-English speaking background and a support unit for students with an intellectual disability and/or autism. Selection Criteria 1. Approval to teach Commerce and Business Studies. Willing to teach History 7-10 and Geography 7-10. 2. Commitment to quality teaching and the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate differentiated lessons using explicit teaching strategies to effectively ensure that all students, inclusive of HPGE and EAL/D students have meaningful learning opportunities. 3. Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies with a focus on building and fostering positive learning environments to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
