The opportunity We are excited to announce a rare and exceptional opportunity for an experienced Asset Management Coordinator to join the infrastructure team at Federation Council. As an Asset Management Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring the efficient lifecycle management of our assets. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that directly enhance our operational efficiency and contribute to our long-term success. This critical role requires a highly organized individual with exceptional communication and technical skills. You will be expected to lead detailed projects and thrive on new challenges. In this role you will: Coordinate the full lifecycle management of Federation Shire assets, from acquisition and tracking to maintenance and disposal. Maintain and update the asset management systems, including AssetFinder, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date. Develop and implement asset management plans, including preventative maintenance schedules and capital replacement forecasts. Work closely with various departments, including finance, operations, and IT, to support their asset-related needs. Lead a small team and conduct regular audits and physical verifications of assets. Prepare and present reports on asset performance, value, and condition. Prepare end of financial year reports, such as Asset information required for Special Purpose Financial Statements. Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance asset management efficiency. Lead the development, review and update Council’s Asset Management Policies, strategies and plans to effectively meet Local Government (OLG) requirements Essential key criteria to be addressed in applications Minimum qualifications in Civil Engineering or Finance or Asset Management (AQF 6) along with relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications and extensive relevant experience in an Asset Management field; (IAM -Asset Management Qualifications or Certified Practitioner in Asset Management) Demonstrated experience in infrastructure asset management aligning with the National Asset Management Assessment Framework (NAMAF); Demonstrated experience in collecting asset information; Demonstrated experience in interpreting asset information and preparing comprehensive written reports for management providing recommendations; A current and valid class "C" driver's licence What we offer An opportunity for you to grow and develop your skills. The salary is commencing at $1890.40 per week with progression up to $2086.70 per week dependent upon skills and experience.
