Your New Role: We recently introduced a new, contemporary model for Allied Health in General Medicine to redefine care for our patients and the experience of our highly regarded team across 7 days. The OT medicine stream provides clinical services to a wide range of clients who have a variety of medical conditions. Provide excellent, evidence based and patient centred care including assessment, intervention and discharge planning for patients in the acute hospital wards. Supervise and educate junior occupational therapists, allied health assistants and occupational therapy students. Demonstrate excellent communication strategies with patients, relatives, staff and relevant services in order to provide appropriate services, information and leadership. Actively lead and participate in Allied Health quality improvement initiatives and research. About You: You have acute hospital experience with a collaborative leadership style. You have excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development for yourself and others. You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist dedicated to providing evidence-based practice. You value working with supportive and dedicated Occupational Therapists and multidisciplinary teams.
