About the Dermatology Unit The Dermatology Unit provides adult and paediatric services through Outpatient Clinics at Monash Medical Centre and Dandenong Hospital, and referral services to all sites. The unit is staffed with 20 Visiting Consultants (1.3 EFT), 2 Accredited Registrars, 1 Intern and 2 Nurses. The Unit is the only public health service in Victoria treating both children and adult patients for dermatological diseases. Cases include complex medical conditions of the skin, hair and nails. Surgical procedures, mainly for skin cancers, are also performed in the Outpatient Department. Dedicated services include a Paediatric Eczema Clinic, Biologics Clinic and Patch Testing Clinic. A combined Genetics/Dermatology Clinic is scheduled 4 times a year and the Unit participates in other multidisciplinary team services. The supervision and training of Registrars (trainees) occurs alongside clinical care, together with the teaching of students and junior medical staff. The Unit is involved in multicentre trials and conducts clinical research projects. About the Role To support and assist the Director of the Dermatology Unit in the provision of high quality dermatological services at Monash Health, consistent with the Monash Health values. • This position is an ongoing part time role. • Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care. • Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care. • Support supervision, training, education and research roles in the Dermatology Unit, Monash Health. • Contribute to the professional and corporate life in Victoria's largest public health service by participation in appropriate committees and educational platforms. • Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible dermatological services What you need: • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) • Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications • Working with Children's Certificate What we offer: • Salary packaging • Onsite discounted staff parking • Discounted banking (BankVic) • Access to professional development courses and seminars We recognise the value of equal employment opportunity.
