What I Will Be Doing: As an Assistant in Nursing at Northcott, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality care within our specialised Supported Living settings. Your mission is to promote independence, enhance quality of life, and support our customers to achieve their individual goals. You will: Deliver personalised, high-quality nursing care to a diverse range of customers using a person-centred approach . Assist with personal care , hygiene , and daily living tasks , including domestic duties. Support customers with complex care needs while promoting dignity and respect. Be committed to positive outcomes for the people you support. Be available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster , including overnight, weekends, and public holidays. About You: I'm an experienced and compassionate Assistant in Nursing who is passionate about providing exceptional care and creating meaningful connections. I thrive in team environments and are confident working with individuals with complex needs. I will bring: Previous experience in disability , particularly within group home settings. Competency in manual handling , including hoist operation and repositioning Proven experience in: PEG feeding and safe swallowing support. Epilepsy management and responding to challenging behaviours. Oxygen and nebuliser management. Bowel Care, including administration of enemas and suppositories. Confidence and sensitivity in delivering personal care and grooming. A current Australian driver’s licence and the ability to drive a 1 2-seater and wheelchair-accessible van.
