Job Description We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Steward Supervisor to lead our stewarding operations and support the smooth running of our kitchens, in a part-time capacity. About the Role: Reporting to the Chief Steward and Executive Chef, the Steward Supervisor ensures all kitchen and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency. You will supervise a team of kitchen stewards, coordinate daily cleaning operations, and play a key part in maintaining food safety compliance and operational flow. Supervise and coordinate the stewarding team to ensure safe and efficient operations Oversee cleaning and sanitisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service areas Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing, storage, and dock areas, ensuring HACCP and food safety compliance Operate forklifts and assist with receiving and storing deliveries (requires valid forklift licence) Train, mentor, and coach stewards on safe handling, chemical use, and hygiene procedures Conduct daily walkthroughs to monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and stock levels Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure cost-effective use of resources Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to support smooth kitchen operations
