Leukaemia Foundation - Community Fundraising and Growth Specialist Location: Artarmon, Sydney Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: The Community Fundraising and Growth Specialist is pivotal to amplifying the Leukaemia Foundation's national footprint. The purpose of the role is to deliver tailored business development, account management, and localised plans to support the success of the Leukaemia Foundation’s signature campaigns, community products, and achieve holistic engagement of community-based supporters. This role is also responsible for building a pipeline of third-party fundraisers and local partnerships through business development to increase engagement, retention, and financial growth across the Community Fundraising and Growth portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement localised plans in line with the Community Fundraising and Growth strategy that drive year-on-year growth in the territory, increase retention, and diversify engagement with the Leukaemia Foundation brand, services, and fundraising activities. Deliver exceptional account management to high-value participants in the Leukaemia Foundation’s signature events, third-party fundraising activities, and partner events to meet campaign objectives and encourage growth and retention across the Community Fundraising and Growth portfolio. Build a pipeline of community partnerships and fundraisers across the assigned territory to raise awareness of the Leukaemia Foundation brand, activate a community of advocates, and increase financial outcomes. Actively prospect, secure, and manage relationships with key community groups and fundraisers, including individuals, schools, businesses, and key industries (e.g., aged care and first responders). Achieve territory budget targets and activity-based key performance indicators. Represent the Leukaemia Foundation at events (face-to-face and/or virtual), supporter visits, and other local activities as required. Track and monitor budget allowances for postage and travel. Ensure all community fundraising activities and partner events are safe, ethical, and aligned with internal policies and fundraising best practices. Participate in ad hoc projects and duties as directed. Work within Leukaemia Foundation's policies and procedures and comply with Workplace Health and Safety and other relevant legislation. Additional responsibilities may be required as reasonably directed. Essential Criteria: Demonstrated experience and understanding of excellent fundraising relationship management in community and peer-to-peer fundraising. Demonstrated experience in business development and sales – particularly to engage, activate and retain new and existing relationships. Independent self-starter with the ability to manage and build pipeline and schedule within deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with members of the Community Fundraising and Growth team and wider organisation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort in presenting to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of supporter engagement. Demonstrated experience in meeting financial KPIs and engagement targets. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive data. Demonstrated experience in working within CRM systems (experience working in Salesforce would be advantageous). Confidence and willingness to engage with supporters in person and represent the Leukaemia Foundation at local events and interstate events. Willingness to work flexible hours, including attending events outside business hours as needed. Driver’s licence with flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel as required to fulfil requirements of this position. Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencement and maintain this clearance. Knowledge of the FIA Code of Conduct. Desired Experience: Knowledge of the charity health environment. Understanding of fundraising product and campaign development. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting under pressure and handling a wide range of situations confidentially and diplomatically.
