This director-level role suits a Specialist-registered practitioner who holds Australian citizenship and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. You will deliver strategic clinical oversight, complex case management, and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Provide senior clinical leadership and governance for speech pathology services across multiple service providers and settings, including telehealth and onsite delivery. Manage and consult on complex adult and pediatric cases involving dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, voice, fluency, language disorders, and hearing-related communication needs. Design and implement evidence-based treatment pathways, risk management strategies, and outcome measurement frameworks for diverse cohorts. Lead bilingual service delivery, cultural competency initiatives, and communication access strategies for clients from multilingual backgrounds. Supervise, mentor, and develop mid- to senior-level clinicians and allied health teams, providing advanced training and professional development. Collaborate with stakeholders including clinicians, carers, service managers, tech teams, and policy leads to integrate clinical practice with service and product innovation. Provide expert assessments and reports for complex funding, disability support, and employment service pathways. Essential Qualifications and Experience 30 years of clinical practice in speech pathology with proven leadership at director or equivalent level. Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner regulatory body. Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent; postgraduate qualifications highly regarded. Extensive experience across adult and pediatric practice areas including dysphagia, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, language disorders, deafness and hearing disability. Demonstrated success in bilingual or multicultural service delivery and adapting interventions for diverse populations. Strong track record in telehealth service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance.
