Overview Chief Operating Officer (Maternity Leave Cover) – ABRS Millers Point, New South Wales, Australia Our client, a leading national disability services provider, delivers high-quality Supported Independent Living and In-Home Care Services across 20 residential sites, supporting over 170 participants. They operate village communities that offer independence, choice, and 24/7 support for people living with complex disabilities. We are seeking an Interim Chief Operating Officer (Maternity Leave cover) to support and drive service excellence, commercial performance, and operational discipline during a critical leadership transition. This is a high-impact role where results will directly shape the organisation’s business growth and future direction. Reporting to the Group CEO, you will oversee business growth, service delivery, and In Home support functions nationally. With a strong focus on commercial discipline, quality improvement, and participant outcomes, you will drive operational performance across multiple states, working closely with the executive team and senior leaders to lead key strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Lead national operations across Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Home & Community services, ensuring quality outcomes for participants. Inspire and develop senior leaders, building high-performing teams with clear direction and accountability. Drive strategic growth by exploring new markets, partnerships, and innovative service models. Shape commercial performance, using technology and data to improve efficiency, margins, and service delivery. Play a key role alongside the CEO and executive team in guiding financial sustainability and long-term success. About you 10 years senior leadership experience in similar or senior operations roles and/or substantial experience in a relevant discipline. Tertiary and postgraduate qualifications in finance, business administration, marketing or related commercial fields. Proven track record of commercial improvement and margin growth. Deep knowledge of the NDIS sector with a focus on SIL and in-home support operations, with multi-site responsibility. Exceptional people leadership and ability to build trust and accountability across diverse teams. Ability to commence by mid-September 2025 and commit for the full fixed-term contract.
