Melville Bodyworks is currently seeking experienced and qualified Panel Beaters to join their highly skilled repair team. This role requires expertise in vehicle body repair, dent removal, panel replacement, and refinishing, aligned with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Inspecting damaged vehicles to assess repair requirements and costs Replacing badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels Straightening damaged vehicles and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment Filling dents and imperfections and preparing surfaces for repainting May spray-paint vehicles Maintaining ongoing communication with clients regarding repair progress and timelines Adhering strictly to workplace health and safety procedures and OEM repair methods Operating recovery vehicles where applicable Removing damaged panels and parts, and removing upholstery and accessories to gain access Removing dents by hammering panels Filling depressions with plastic filler, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware such as door locks and trims May assist vehicle body builders in constructing and restoring custom-designed, vintage and other specialty vehicles Required Qualifications and Experience: Trade qualification or certification as a Panel Beater (Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology or equivalent) or Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in vehicle body repair and smash repairs Competency in panel beating techniques, welding, brazing, and spray-painting Physically capable of performing manual and machinery tasks safely Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills Current driver’s license: recovery vehicle license preferred but not mandatory Salary and Benefits: $77,000 per annum plus superannuation Entitlement to annual leave, sick leave, and other statutory benefits Supportive work environment with access to professional development opportunities Lifetime guarantee on all repairs and excellent technical support Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit the following by 20 Nov 2025: A detailed resume highlighting relevant qualifications and experience A cover letter addressing suitability for the position Contact details for two (2) professional referees Equal Opportunity Statement: Melville Bodyworks Pty.
