Job Title: Grounds Coordinator Location: Rookwood (with travel across multiple sites) Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Position Salary: $100,000 Superannuation Vehicle: Tool of trade vehicle provided About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Grounds Coordinator to support our Infrastructure Coordinator and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing outdoor infrastructure across multiple sites. This permanent full-time position is based in Rookwood but requires travel across all company sites, with a dedicated vehicle provided for ease of mobility. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional with a strong background in project coordination and grounds management, who is ready to step up and grow into a leadership role within our infrastructure team. Succession planning is a core focus, as this role is designed to evolve into the Infrastructure Coordinator position when the current incumbent retires in the next few years. Key Responsibilities: Support the Infrastructure Coordinator with planning and delivering grounds maintenance projects, including parks, landscaping, and outdoor installations. Carry out typical grounds coordinator duties such as scheduling, coordinating maintenance activities, and managing site operations. Operate and maintain various machinery, including excavators, mowers, and other groundskeeping equipment. Perform excavation and site preparation work in readiness for external contractors. Coordinate and oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely completion of projects. Conduct routine grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, landscaping, rubbish management, and pest control. Assist with installation and maintenance of outdoor facilities, fencing, pathways, and security systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations. Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials needed for site works. Work independently as well as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in grounds coordination, facilities management, or a similar role involving outdoor infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery, including excavators. Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organise, and execute multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent communication and leadership potential for future progression. Relevant qualifications or certifications in landscaping, horticulture, construction, or related fields are highly desirable. Valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety practices. Why Join Us?
