From Bricks to Banter - Lend an ear and your time to a builder-turned-storyteller who loves footy and good company. Are you up for a good yarn, a cuppa, and some classic footy banter? We're looking for a friendly volunteer to spend time with a retired builder who’s full of stories, wit, and warmth. He’s a lifelong football fan, a former tradesman with a sharp memory for the glory days on-site and on the pitch, and he’d love some regular company to chat, laugh, and share memories with. This is a relaxed social visit role — perfect for someone who enjoys good conversation, has a sense of humour, and appreciates the value of companionship. No building or football skills needed — just bring your time, your smile, and a love for great chats. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
