About the role and where you will be working: Our residential care team at Joseph Cooke House is looking for an experienced Therapy Assistant to provide client-focused individual support to our valued residents. Catering for up to 57 residents, Joseph Cooke House in Shelley is located just one kilometre from the banks of the Canning River. You'll have the opportunity to apply your skills and experience to improve the safety and independence of our residents. They'll be looking to you for activities that will enhance self-care, daily living skills and other rehabilitation activities. This is a casual position. Your responsibilities will include: Organise the activities planner and conduct activities Support appropriate access to the resident's current interests Liaise with community groups and schools to support activities Work as part of a team Show compassion & exercise patience Treat our residents & their family with respect About you: We’re looking for a passionate Therapy Assistant with a Certificate III or higher in Allied Health Assistance. If you have experience in aged care and a genuine interest in supporting others, we’d love to hear from you too. You’re someone who enjoys building connections—whether it’s chatting with residents, engaging with families, or collaborating with colleagues.
