Role Overview Gympie Regional Council has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced admin professional to join the Water Branch working permanent parttime 24.25 hours per week. This position supports the effective operation of Council’s Water branch by managing systems and data, coordinating stock and materials, assisting with work planning and preventive maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance, and capturing knowledge to strengthen workforce planning. Essential Knowledge & Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills Proficiency in data entry and systems management Knowledge of stock control and materials management Understanding of work planning and preventive maintenance processes Familiarity with WHS compliance requirements Ability to document and standardise work practices Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained Essential Requirements: Deliver timely and accurate administration, planning and project support functions including procurement, word processing, data entry, report writing, correspondence and records management to meet the business needs of the Water team. Contribute to an effective team operating Council’s asset to ensure the highest quality of service to customers whilst complying with WHS, industry guidelines, Council workplace policies and procedures, Council’s Customer Service Standards and statutory requirements. Assist with work scheduling and dispatch based on work priority using scheduling management system where required. Systems and Data Management: Maintain ongoing data entry into GIS, Assetic, Fleet, Authority/Magiq, CRM, and customer service systems. Stock and Materials: Order and monitor stock for safety showers, spares, tools audits, satellite depots, and Maintenance trucks. Work Planning and Preventive Maintenance: Support scheduling team with planning, book traffic management, order materials, process timesheets, and digitise paper-based records. Safety and Compliance: Maintain procedures, MSDS registers, and audit documentation to ensure compliance with Council and regulatory standards. Knowledge Capture: Document roles and processes to support workforce planning and reduce reliance on individual officers’ knowledge.
