Position Description Position Title: Crane Operator Hedland Harbour Industries is a small family-owned business based out of Port Hedland. HHI is a general hire company that services the communities within the Pilbara's needs, ranging from Crane Operations, relocation, scaffolding, dry hire, mine shutdowns, etc. Position Overview This role is a full-time, Port Hedland-based position offering a competitive hourly rate and a meal allowance. The position operates on a flexible roster (e.g., 4:1, 5:2, 6:3) that is adjusted daily to suit the current scope of work. Duties/Responsibilties: Completing Daily Pre-Starts on all equipment. Follow safety guidelines and protocols. Operate cranes and hoists. Keep and update maintenance and activity log. Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals. Lubricate ropes and winches on cranes. Observe crane operation, instruments, and gauges to identify any signs of malfunction. Directly control the speed, acceleration, and braking of loads. Manage and operate crane controls. Essential Criteria: Minimum of 12 months current operating experience. Minimum of CN (Crane ops) endorsement on your high-risk license. Be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening prior to flight being booked. Positive & Can-Do attitude. Desirable Criteria: Current inductions for the following Pilbara mine sites; RTIO, Roy Hill, SINO, BHP, FMG, PPA - will be highly regarded.
