About the role Step into a role where data meets purpose. As Manager, Data & Analytics, you’ll lead a talented team of analysts to turn complex operational data into clear, actionable insights that drive operational effectiveness. You’ll mentor and empower your team, collaborate across departments, and deliver high-value projects that help shape strategic decisions. With advanced skills in MS Fabric and Power BI, plus fluency in SQL and Python or R, you’ll craft smart solutions that make a difference. This role is all about innovation, curiosity, and ethical leadership. You’ll champion data privacy and sovereignty, while providing technical leadership in data governance, analytics, and reporting. Duties Team management : Lead and support a team of four Data & Business Analysts, ensuring their skills remain current with evolving analytics technologies and methods. Data Strategy leadership : Deliver Benevolent’s Data Strategy and Governance Framework through strategic data projects that enable evidence-based innovation and growth. Governance, systems and processes : Partner with IT and Data Owners to implement data policies in MS Fabric and Purview, ensuring consistent, compliant data governance. Analysis, reporting and insights : Oversee delivery of dashboards and data products, promote self-service reporting, and apply analytics to generate actionable insights. Cross-functional collaboration : Lead cross-functional teams to meet data needs across business units, ensuring alignment with performance and growth objectives. Skills and Experience We want you to be successful in your new role! This means you’ll have: Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics or equivalent experience. Postgraduate credentials such as CDMP are highly regarded. Proven ability to manage and develop data professionals and collaborate in diverse, multidisciplinary teams. Advanced analytics skills, including experience in MS Fabric/Power BI and proficiency in SQL and Python or R. Skilled in translating analysis into business recommendations for operational and strategic leaders. Strong understanding of data governance and data management best practices, and Australian privacy principles. Experienced in stakeholder management and implementing tools and processes for consistent project delivery.
