Key Responsibilities As a Chef at Tutto Bene Woodfired Pizzeria & Wine Bar, your role will include duties: Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of authentic Italian dishes including wood-fired pizzas, pastas, salads, antipasti, and desserts to a consistently high standard. Maintain excellent food quality, flavour, presentation, and portion control while ensuring cost efficiency. Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation, service coordination, and kitchen hygiene. Monitor inventory, order supplies, receive deliveries, and minimise food waste. Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and workplace health & safety standards. Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen hands or junior cooks when required. Assist in developing seasonal menus, daily specials, and creative new dishes that reflect the brand’s Italian identity. Manage workflow during busy service periods to ensure efficient and timely service. Work collaboratively with the restaurant and front-of-house teams to deliver a seamless dining experience. What We’re Looking For Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy restaurant, pizzeria, or similar hospitality environment. Certificate IV or Diploma in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality Management, or equivalent qualification. Proven skills in preparing Italian or Mediterranean cuisine, particularly wood-fired pizzas and pastas. Knowledge and adherence to HACCP and safe food handling procedures. Strong organisational and time-management abilities, especially under pressure. A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as rostered. A genuine passion for Italian food, creativity, and customer satisfaction. Desirable Attributes Previous experience with wood-fired pizza ovens or Italian kitchens. Experience in menu development and food cost management. Ability to lead or supervise a small kitchen team.
