About the role: This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience. Your duties will include but not be limited to: Get hands-on experience managing Council records - this includes collecting and sorting mail, scanning and uploading documents, classifying files, and keeping both physical and digital records organised. Support the team with data entry, quality checks, and internal customer service, helping staff access the information they need quickly and accurately. Learn how to follow the rules for keeping, storing, and safely disposing of records in line with Council procedures and legal requirements. Take on a variety of practical tasks, like moving and archiving boxes of files, delivering internal and outgoing mail, and helping maintain a safe and organised workplace - all while gaining valuable skills for future roles. What we're looking for - Skills & Experience Works well in a team, follows instructions, and contributes positively to the workplace. Good written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and provides accurate support to staff and clients. Comfortable using computers and office software, learning new systems, and handling basic numeracy tasks.
