ABOUT US Mort & Co Fertilisers operates a unique facility, employing innovative technology to produce environmentally friendly, carbon-based product. This state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in Australia. The plant repurposes manure to supply sustainable, industry leading products to all types of Australian farms. ABOUT THE ROLE We currently have an opportunity to join the Mort & Co Fertiliser team in the newly created position of Supply Chain Manager. This is a permanent full-time role is central to managing the entire production process. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing all production activities to ensure smooth and efficient factory operations, including logistics and storage capacity. Developing and managing production schedules to meet customer demand and avoid bottlenecks. Coordinating materials, labour, and equipment to optimise efficiency and control costs. Ensuring high-quality standards across all manufactured products. Leading and mentoring production staff to foster a safe and productive work environment. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance. Monitoring production costs and reporting key performance indicators to senior management. Collaborating with procurement, sales, inventory, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations. Planning and executing manufacturing projects, including risk assessments and feasibility studies. ABOUT YOU The key criteria for this position include: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Manufacturing, Project Management or equivalent relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge and experience in project management within a production facility. Strong leadership capabilities including facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, decentralised decision making and increasing transparency in teams Exceptional communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. A proactive self-starter with strong prioritisation and decision-making abilities. Skilled in negotiation, with a passion for stakeholder engagement. Ability to remain calm under pressure and exercise sound judgement. A ‘C’ class driver’s licence and willingness to travel to other Mort & Co sites occasionally. WHY WORK WITH US?
