About the Centre Sunkids Ormiston is a beautiful, purpose-built centre catering for 85 children aged 6 weeks to school age, across five modern and fully serviced learning rooms designed to inspire curiosity, connection, and growth. About the Role We’re seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Centre Manager to join our leadership team at Ormiston. This role offers an excellent balance of on-floor engagement (2 days) and non-contact leadership time (3 days) each week — perfect for an experienced individual ready to advance their career. In this role, you will: Lead, support, and inspire a high-performing team of educators Deliver a high-quality, play-based and emergent curriculum Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children and staff Build strong, positive relationships with families and the community Assist with daily operations including enrolments, staff management, and administration Support the Centre Manager to maintain compliance and exceed National Quality Standards What You’ll Bring Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum) or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (preferred) Current Blue Card Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates Child Protection Training Certificate (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025) Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and QKLG Experience with Qikkids software and prior experience as an Assistant Manager (highly regarded) A passion for leadership and continuous improvement Why Join Sunkids At Sunkids, we recognise that great leadership starts with support.
