What you’ll be doing: As a Senior Group Reporting Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in Virgin’s Group Reporting team. You’ll take ownership for accounting of debt and hedging transactions as well as and cash flow reporting. You will also look to drive continuous improvement across financial processes. Your expertise will support the delivery of accurate and timely statutory financial reporting, ensuring compliance with deadlines and high standards of quality. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across finance and the broader business, contributing to the development and implementation of robust financial controls, policies, and procedures. As the business evolves, you’ll also take the lead on ad-hoc projects that shape the future of our financial operations. You’ll be great in this role if you: Hold a CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification with minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience post-qualification Have a graduate degree in business, accounting, or a related discipline Bring experience working in an IFRS accounting environment Have worked in the airline industry or a similarly complex operational setting Are familiar with Oracle Fusion and Workiva systems Thrive under pressure and can meet tight deadlines while adapting to shifting priorities Enjoy solving problems and proactively seek opportunities to improve processes Build strong relationships and provide high-quality support across diverse teams Are tech-savvy, with advanced systems knowledge and strong computer literacy Stay organised and manage your time effectively in a fast-paced environment Influence and collaborate confidently across various business areas and levels Have advanced Excel skills and a knack for data analysis Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current accounting standards, particularly IFRS Equality rules: We’re all individuals.
