Assist the Executive Chef, Sous chef and Chef de Partie ensuring a consistently high quality of food product and service while maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area. Duties: • Conduct food preparation and cooking duties ensuring menu items are prepared to recipe and quality standards. • Ensure all guest special requests, including dietary needs, are acknowledged and variations created. • Be aware of meal times and the importance of speed, time, efficiency and presentation of all meals. • Mentor Apprentices, Commis and Cooks to ensure all items are prepared in line with the menu and Food Safety regulations • Apply and monitor food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with Food Safety regulations. Skills and Experience: • Commercial Cookery Qualifications and previous Commis Chef Experience • Team Player, able to work unsupervised • Must be available to work on any day including weekends and nights
