The role A permanent part-time position is now available commencing term 1, 2026 on 21 January 2026 for an experienced Visual Arts Teacher. The successful candidate will have: The desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised Passionate about teaching the middle years generation Relevant qualifications with VIT registration and commitment to professional learning Proven record of field-work experience and/or relevant tertiary qualifications Key Responsibilities: Assess students' skills to design a flexible, personalised curriculum that addresses their unique needs and goals. Designing and delivering engaging art lessons that align with the curriculum. Teaching various artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media. Encouraging students to explore their creativity and develop their unique artistic styles. Integrating art history, theory, and contemporary practices into lessons. Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback. Skills and Experience: Proven experience teaching MYP to students. A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering both academic and personal growth in students. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex design concepts and engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents. Dedicated to ongoing professional development, staying current with trends in Humanities and maintaining a proactive approach to teaching. Qualifications, attributes & ethos VIT Registration.
