Note: This role is open to candidates within Australia with full working rights We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to assume full responsibility for a portfolio of major and minor engineering projects. This hands-on role requires a leader who can drive the entire project lifecycle, from planning and fabrication to installation and handover - ensuring delivery against quality, safety, budget, and timeline targets. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of ~10 projects, including two large-scale initiatives.Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using MS Project.Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of up to twelve engineers, draftspeople, and workshop staff.Apply mechanical engineering expertise to oversee manufacturing and assembly processes.Proactively identify project risks, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure milestone adherence.Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and forecast resources.Liaise with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.10 years of combined experience in project management and mechanical engineering within industrial, manufacturing, or related sectors.High proficiency in MS Project for scheduling and reporting.Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and on budget.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.In-depth knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality standards in industrial settings.
