Job TitleOperations Officer LocationSydney Role PurposeTo manage end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations across Knoxx Foods’ in-house Sydney site, local and interstate 3PL. This role combines floor knowledge with strategic oversight: ensuring correct labelling/barcoding, maintaining inventory integrity, prioritising containers and deliveries for key accounts, and liaising with 3PLs, transporters, and customers to ensure seamless service. Reports ToHead of OperationsKey Responsibilities Container Management – Multi-SiteLiaise with clearing agents for container delivery orders (EDOs). Coordinate with interstate transporters for container drops and returns. Manage local and interstate 3PL container unpacking schedules.Prioritise containers movement.Order & Customer Management Monitor order fulfilment and delivery accuracy across all sites. Liaise with customers on delivery issues (Sydney 3PL). Inventory & Pallet ManagementMaintain collective inventory across Sydney 3PL sites. Enforce FIFO across all sites. Manage CHEP/LOSCAM accounts (Sydney 3PL)Monitor pallet hire costs and negotiate with CHEP/LOSCAM.Warehouse Management & Compliance Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are followed: Stock management. Ensure correct pallet labelling and barcoding for all stock stored/dispatched. Maintain OH&S compliance across all sites. Demand Planning & Reporting Track missing orders and unusual order trends. Provide inputs to Procurement for demand planning. Prepare weekly reports for Operations on container flow, inventory status, and delivery performance.Process Improvement & Leadership Lead implementation of process improvements (labelling, barcoding, layout optimisation). Train and coach Warehouse team on best practices. Work closely with 3PL partners and temporary staff ensuring they keep Knoxx’s best interests in mind and follow Knoxx’s best practices.Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Be available on-call outside of 8.30am-5pm for any warehouse escalations, or last-minute urgent orders.
