Location: Bateau Bay, NSW Position: Full-time Salary range : $ 70,000 - $80,000 superannuation About the Role: As Retail Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and well-organised environment that delivers exceptional experiences for every customer. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the café to ensure efficiency, profitability, and excellent customer service. Manage inventory levels, coordinate stock control and deliveries, and ensure timely replenishment to meet business needs. Develop and implement purchasing strategies, pricing policies, and promotional activities to drive sales and meet business objectives. Plan and execute marketing initiatives, in-store displays, and campaigns to enhance customer engagement and revenue. Maintain financial records, oversee cash handling, daily banking, and contribute to budget management and financial reporting. Recruit, train, roster, supervise, and support staff to maximise team performance and ensure compliance with workplace policies. Monitor and maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to brand and safety requirements. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, food safety standards, and operational procedures. Analyse sales reports, track performance metrics, and provide regular updates to the business owner. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure reliable stock and operational support. Identify, report, and resolve maintenance, safety, or operational issues to ensure a secure and welcoming environment for customers and staff. About You: Diploma in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience (2–3 years minimum) in a retail, café, or hospitality management or supervisory role. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers. Highly organised with strong time-management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Sound knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and cost-control practices. Confident in the use of POS systems, Microsoft Office, and retail or hospitality management software. A proactive, hands-on manager with a customer-first mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding service. Interested?
