North Metropolitan TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool. This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term vacancies, with the possibility of further extension and/or permanency.
We currently have a 24-month temporary opportunity, with possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Here’s what you need to know:
- How to apply: You can apply anytime during the open pool period.
- Application reviews: Applications are expected to be assessed every 3 months, but this can vary based on operational needs.
- Pool Selection: Only those applicants who have been assessed as suitable through a merit selection process can be considered for selection to the pool. Appointment from the pool to a vacancy, is not guaranteed.
- Outcome: You will receive advice that you have been recommended for appointment to the pool or that you were unsuccessful for appointment to the pool. If you're not successful, you can request feedback and can reapply in the future.
- Appointments: May be made from this pool until 16 June 2028
North Metropolitan TAFE reserves the right to extend or cease advertising at any given time in the future.

Relevant Qualification and Experience
To be eligible for employment you must have the following;
- A relevant qualification in an Electrical trade.
- A valid Electrical licence.
- At least five (5) years of vocational or lecturing experience relevant to this position.
NM TAFE prefers lecturers to hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, or TAE40110 and the additional skill sets referred to in Schedule 1, Item 2 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015. You are still eligible to apply if you do not yet hold these credentials but we may require you to obtain the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 prior to appointment, irrespective of holding other adult education qualifications.
