About the role The Head of Board Governance at Cbus will lead governance programs and processes to ensure compliance with superannuation trustee and corporate governance standards. Reporting to the Group Head of Corporate Governance, you will oversee director succession planning, fitness and propriety assessments and annual performance reviews. You will also manage the Trustee Board’s skills matrix and committee paper preparation and direct the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) office. Key accountabilities Oversee Trustee Board continuity and director succession including, maintaining tenure registers and coordinating succession planning with key stakeholdersManage director nomination, appointment and annual performance reviews, ensuring compliance with fitness and propriety (F&P) standards and governance policiesLead board and director skills development, maintaining a skills matrix, conducting assessments and supporting individual training plansEnsure quality management of Trustee Board and Committee papers, providing guidance and support for content standards and alignment with meeting agendasDirect the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) office including framework development, team oversight and internal reporting to Accountable persons and the Trustee Board What will you bring? Experience in a similar Head of Board Governance or Corporate Governance roles in a medium to large superannuation fundStrong regulatory knowledge including SIS Act, APRA Prudential Standards (SPS510 & SPS520), FAR regime and ASIC requirementsProven ability to manage complex governance processes under pressure with precision and consistencyExceptional attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to governance operationsHighly effective stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative cross organizational working style Belong at Cbus We value difference, and embrace people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, gender identities, abilities and thinking styles.
