This role will manage up to 12 direct reports and a pool of casual community and support employees across multiple sites including Townsville Mount Isa and surrounds. The role is key to building on the success of current services to increase Centacare NQ’s profile and service footprint in disability, and community care services. Key Responsibilities Include Stewardship & Integrity: Operational oversight of program practices and service delivery to maintain integrity of program deliverables in line with legislation, organisational requirements and client needs and expectations. Ensure appropriate reporting within expected timeframes. Ensure the program performance and operation within governance frameworks, Centacare NQ Strategic and Business plans. Oversight and management of daily operations of the Disabilities and Community Care services and sites, including Supported Independent Living (SIL) facilities. Undertake continuous improvement activities to ensure services are operating at an optimal level. Implementation and maintenance of data collection and outcomes evaluation measures to ensure service delivery of all programs within the portfolio are effective and meet client need. Ensure quality of service through supporting employee development, training, and line management. Respect & Equality: Work collaboratively within the management team to seek out and share best practice strategies and approaches to service delivery across the Townsville and Mount Isa regions. Ensure all employees within the program portfolio, regardless of location are provided with support, mentoring, direction and inclusion in broader program and organisational undertakings. Maintain strong, productive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including peers, funding body representatives, community partners and stakeholders. Desired Skills and Experience To be successful in the role you will have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences and minimum of 5 years’ experience in social or community services management, Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating program operational plans, & service evaluation processes Demonstrated capacity in relation to effective management of programs and employees across diverse geographic regions, disciplines, and program delivery areas. Current open drivers’ licence. Current Working with Children Blue Card check and NDIS Disability Workers Screening Clearance/ Card/Check. National Criminal Check within the last 3 months or ability to get recent police check Right to Work in Australia evidence. Strong Report writing skills Demonstrated leadership skills and mentoring abilities Desirable Relevant experience in Community Services and or within a Not-For-Profit or Faith Based sectors. Demonstrated knowledge and experience of governance reporting responsibilities and timeframes, including NDIS services. Experience managing a diverse and multi-disciplinary team in the disability or community services context. Experience managing financially and operationally viable care services in the disabilities, aged care, or similar context.
