ISO accredited, very well-established and growing, it supplies both standard and customised products to a diverse customer base across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Melbourne's Western suburbs, this key leadership role is now available. Your new hands-on position will see you work closely with the Factory Manager on training and oversight of production personnel, managing a shift roster, process and plant optimisation. You will also be required to work on specific engineering projects that include specification and installation of new machinery, potentially even major plant expansion or relocation projects. You are detail focused, a great troubleshooter and problem solver – with good commercial nous. You have initiative and know how to prioritise work to make the most of your time and resources. Your focus on quality is critical, as is the ability to self-manage to achieve the company's objectives. The successful applicant will likely have an engineering or manufacturing qualification along with demonstrable experience in manufacturing operations. If you have industrial polymer production experience that would be an added advantage. What is most important is your ability to learn and apply that learning to your projects.
