The Role We are seeking a values-driven Human Resources Manager to lead our Human Resources functions across the businesses within the Civitas Group. Reporting directly to the Group’s Managing Director, you will be responsible for shaping our people strategy and driving a culture that supports our diverse workforce. You will lead a tightly knit team of three in delivering all Human Resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations and compliance. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies and initiatives, whilst providing support and advice to managers on workplace and interpersonal matters. The Human Resources Manager is integral to building and maintaining a workplace culture focused on safety, inclusion and staff development that supports both our staff and the people we support. Key Responsibilities Lead the business’ Human Resources functions within in the Mental Health sector, supporting a diverse workforce; Drive the implementation of policies and initiatives that support a safe and inclusive workplace culture; Lead a team of three in delivering Human Resources operations, including end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, payroll and staff document compliance; Partner with managers by providing advice on workplace matters and award interpretation; Liaise with and maintain compliance with key external regulatory bodies including Fair Work and WorkCover where required; Resolve interpersonal and workplace matters through a consultative approach, providing practical support to staff and managers, and; Coordinate internal staff events, professional development workshops, and team-building activities. About You The successful candidate will be an experienced Human Resources professional, with a demonstratable track record of leading HR functions, ideally within the community services sector. You are confident balancing both operational Human Resources tasks with long term strategic planning and are passionate about driving an enjoyable, safe and inclusive working environment. You will bring: Demonstratable experience leading Human Resources functions; A qualification in Human Resources or similar; A sound understanding of Australian employment law and workplace relations; Collaborative and supportive leadership skills; Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relationships with people from different backgrounds; A friendly and approachable nature; Ability to constructively solve problems and manage multiple priorities; Ability to travel to other sites as required, and; An understanding of the NDIS / Mental Health / Community Services Industries (desired, not mandatory).
