About the Opportunity In this role, you will report to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer and work on an 8:6 roster as a part of our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. Your focus will be assisting with workplace inspections and workforce engagement, data gathering and geotechnical risk management, and gaining exposure to geotechnical design methods. Your primary responsibilities will include: Supporting the Geotechnical team with inspections, monitoring ground conditions, maintaining systems, and managing underground safety programs. Assisting in data collection, geotechnical analysis, and reporting using various classification, empirical, and modelling methods. Contributing to risk assessments, workplace inspections, and reviews of stope and backfill performance. Participating in seismic monitoring, QA/QC reporting, and system maintenance under supervision of Senior Geotechnical Engineers. Collaborating with operations supervisors, technical services teams and other key stakeholders. Focusing on professional development to build technical and soft skills, and a well-rounded understanding of underground mining operations. About You Our ideal candidate will be based in Australia and have completed engineering studies in a relevant discipline such as civil, geotechnical or mining. Key skills, experience, and qualifications: A tertiary qualification geotechnical engineering or a related field. Proficiency with the MS Office software suite. Current C class driver’s licence (manual). While not essential, previous geotechnical or mining industry experience, or exposure to 3D mining or geotechnical software packages will be highly regarded.
