About us: HITH provides care in the community setting, for acute conditions requiring clinical governance, monitoring/input that would otherwise require treatment in the traditional inpatient hospital bed. The admission criteria are governed by the Queensland Health Admission Policy and as such the HITH program is focused exclusively on acute admitted care substitution. About the role: The unit supports the hospital activity through integrated and contemporary models of care for sub-acute, non-acute, hospital avoidance, hospital substitution, pre and post discharge/transition planning services for clients with chronic, rehabilitative and ageing related care health needs. About you: MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate. While not mandatory, registration or eligibility for registration in General Practice (FRACGP or FACRRM) is highly desirable. Qualifications will determine appointment levels: L13 - L14 (Medical Officer without FRACGP/FACRRM) L13 - L18 (FRACGP/FACRRM) L18 - L25 (Advanced Credentialed Practice) Advanced Life Support competency current or attained on employment.
