The Senior Property Accountant role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial operations within the property sector. Based in the heart of Melbourne's thriving CBD this permanent role will take full responsibility for the entity's PNL, Balance sheet & own the budgeting, forecasting process for one of their biggest entities. The role will also support the leadership team in mentoring juniors as well as partner with external property managers. Description The Senior Property Accountant will be responsible for: Prepare and manage financial reports for property portfolios. Collaborate with property managers to deliver accurate budgeting and forecasting and provide analysis Monitor and manage cash flow for assigned properties. Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and audits. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Play a leadership role within the finance team Process improvement initiatives (systems and processes) Other ad hoc duties Profile A successful Senior Property Accountant should have: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA or CPA qualification (or working towards). Proven experience in property accounting or a related industry ideal but not required Experience within audit or business services preferred Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
