Are you obsessed with cars? WD Autobody & Restorations is a family-owned car restoration workshop in Dromana, turning classics and high-end cars into jaw-dropping machines. We’re looking for a motivated 1st Year Panel Beater Apprentice to join our “Reviving History” team. This isn’t just a job, it’s your chance to get hands-on, learn real skills, and be part of a team that’s as passionate about cars as you are. You’ll work on everything from iconic classics to luxury and performance cars, learning the tricks of the trade from the pros. What You’ll Do Record your hours and progress accurately using our job cards Upload daily photos of your work into iBodyshop – watch your projects come to life Assist the Panel Shop Manager in bringing these iconic cars back to life, getting hands-on and learning the true art of car restoration excellence Learn panel beating skills like shaping, welding, and fabrication Use power tools and hand tools to grind, sand, and finish surfaces Strip and assemble vehicles Clean cars inside and out, presentation matters Move cars safely in and out of the workshop and help keep the space clean Be a creative, active part of our team on real projects About You Passionate about cars and panel beating, experience can be taught, passion can’t Respect for classic cars, from muscle cars to rare exotics Currently in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair or Automotive Refinishing (advantageous but not essential) Positive, reliable, and a team player Self-motivated with a strong “can-do” attitude Fun sense of humour, because we like to enjoy the ride and share the excitement with others Permanent resident or have the right to work in Australia Requirements Commitment to a 4-year in-house TAFE apprenticeship Flexibility to learn and take on different tasks be challenged Strong work ethic and reliability Good time management and organization Awareness of OH&S requirements Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Join WD Autobody & Restorations? 4-day week: Tue – Fri, 7am – 5pm Work with a renowned Australian car restoration team Hands-on experience with unique projects – from rust repairs to full custom builds Mentorship and training from industry pros Full-time, permanent role with career growth Guaranteed Christmas holidays with festive shutdown Be part of a fun, supportive, and passionate team in beautiful Dromana Work that literally revives automotive history How to Apply If you’re ready to turn your passion into a career and be part of something special, we want to hear from you!
