Your new Role: The Advanced Carer Peer Worker uses their lived experience to support carers and families of older adults with mental health challenges. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, they provide peer support, education, and advocacy across community and inpatient settings. The role also involves program facilitation, service improvement, accurate documentation, and working with external agencies, all while upholding values of respect, integrity, teamwork, and compassion. About You: To be successful, you will bring: Ability to communicate proactively and effectively with clarity and purpose. Demonstrated ability to draw on your own lived or living experience as a carer for someone with mental health and/or substance use challenges to support, inform, and educate others in the role. Proven capacity to build and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships with carers, families, staff, health professionals, service providers, and the broader community, while promoting recovery-oriented practice.
