Join the iconic Manly Pacific Hotel – MGallery as our Director of Operations and play a pivotal role in delivering operational excellence, outstanding guest experiences and exceptional team performance. As Director of Operations, you will provide strategic direction, leadership, and management support, ensuring all departments work cohesively to achieve the hotel’s objectives and uphold the MGallery philosophies. You will lead and support the Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Chief Engineer, Restaurant Manager, and Conference & Events Manager to ensure seamless operations and excellence across all areas of the hotel. In this key senior leadership position, you’ll collaborate closely with the General Manager, owners, suppliers, and contractors to drive performance, profitability, and brand integrity. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to all departments, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and cost control. Lead and support the Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Chief Engineer, Restaurant Manager, and Conference & Events Manager to drive high performance and teamwork. Monitor reservations, guest feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth. Analyse financial and service performance, managing budgets, wage control, and expenses to optimise profitability. Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with State, Federal, and brand standards. Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and ongoing professional development aligned with MGallery’s People & Culture philosophy. Manage and strengthen relationships with owners, suppliers, and contractors to uphold operational excellence and brand integrity. Champion MGallery’s guest service vision by delivering personalised, memorable experiences and proactively engaging with guests to resolve issues. Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards, promoting a proactive safety culture and maintaining safe hotel operations. Represent MGallery and Accor with professionalism, enhancing the hotel’s reputation and actively promoting its services and brand initiatives.
