To support this journey, we are seeking a detail-oriented Category Planner to join our Purchasing team at our Head Office in Silverwater, NSW. About the RoleAs our new Category Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods from suppliers to our warehouses, supporting optimal stock levels across our product categories. This is a hands-on, operational role where you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the supply planning process—from placing purchase orders and following up on shipments, to strong engagement with suppliers and collaborating with internal teams.This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of suppliers and product categories, providing you with visibility across multiple iconic brands. You’ll have the autonomy to make a real impact, all while being supported by a passionate, close-knit team. Key ResponsibilitiesPlace and track purchase orders with local and international suppliers.Follow up on shipments, deliveries, and supplier commitments.Monitor inventory levels and flag potential stock risks or delays.Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues and ensure timely supply.Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, shipments, and supplier communications.Collaborate with internal teams (warehouse, production, sales, demand planning) to align supply with business needs.Support process improvements in purchasing and supply planning. About YouIdeally, you will demonstrate:5 years experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory coordination, or a similar operational role, ideally within FMCG.Strong organisational and time management skills.High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.Proficiency in Excel and forecasting systems (e.g., Demand Solutions).Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal).Comfortable working with international suppliers and navigating shipping processes.Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to follow-ups and issue resolution.A desire to broaden your responsibilities and make a visible impact in a growing business.
