Sales and Business Development Gameco Pty Ltd (Commercial Sales) Preston, VIC About us Gameco is a specialist supplier to the Oil & Gas and Energy markets. We are an Australian family-owned business, and recently celebrated 50 years of operations. Gameco represent and distribute market-leading products and equipment to the industries and markets that we service. The Role Gameco is seeking a self-motivated individual with good technical background and previous experience in commercial sales. This is a full-time position, reporting directly to the VIC Branch Manager. The role will require working closely with the Branch Manager and national sales teams, as well as product specialists and manufacturers for sales and customer service to existing accounts, and further developing the business in untapped markets. Key tasks and responsibilities: Service existing customer accounts, respond to customer queries and quotes, and process orders to help the business meet set sales targets. Process in-person sales, as well as phone and email sales orders Actively seek and develop new sales opportunities and prospective business for Gameco’s product lines. Participate in relevant product training, learn and understand the product lines on offer and their specific applications. These include but are not limited to: gas meters, valves, regulators, and other products specific for the Gas and Energy markets. Develop and submit quotes and tenders to secure customer orders, and potentially enter into supply contracts and agreements where the opportunities exist. Work closely with our manufacturers and business partners for the effective supply of products to our customers. About you The successful applicant will have a strong willingness to succeed coupled with a passion for excellent customer service. It would be preferable to have relevant Engineering or trade qualification, experience in a similar technical sales role, or background working within the construction or Oil & Gas and Energy industries. In addition, the successful candidate will possess: Demonstrated workplace communication skills Computer literacy and presentation skills Sound time management Ability to develop and follow up on customer leads Ability to work within a team and also work independently on projects Technical and mechanical aptitude Willingness to plan customer calls and travel as required A valid and unrestriced drivers licence The successful candidate will receive remuneration commensurate with experience, including tools of trade and motor vehicle allowance, plus incentive scheme.
