The HAT role will support the Principal to develop and deliver SLP outcomes in line with the new DfE Strategy. The HAT will receive additional release time to carry out specific duties. The focus areas: Curriculum planning and documentation (R-6) using co-design and design thinking practices that align with the SA Curriculum to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students. Digital literacy across whole site to embed in teaching and learning programs (eg digital technologies, STEM) Criteria: Proven ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, families and community. Experience in collaborative team teaching to meet the needs of diverse learners. Demonstrated success in enhancing student engagement through Berry Street Education Model or trauma-informed practices. Experience with design thinking, inquiry-based learning and strong literacy/numeracy practices. Desirable: Willingness and experience teaching across R-6. Performing Arts experience preferred, as all teachers deliver R-6 Creative Arts homegroup lessons twice weekly.
