Location: Jubilee - Pacific Pines Start date: ASAP Work hours: 14 hours per week Salary: School Services Staff Level 1 - $31.17 super Status: Part-time | Fixed-term (Remainder of 2025 School Year) Ad close date: 17th October, 2025 Contact: Chris Clurey | bne.catholic.edu.au About the opportunity In this position you will be responsible for: Removal of rubbish and debris from garden and grounds areas including the emptying of bins and disposing of waste material to maintain a clean, tidy, and litter-free school building and grounds environment Routinely maintaining and/or repairing reticulation and irrigation systems, under supervision Safely operate and maintain small machinery and plant, as required, considering the risk to self and others Assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up of greens, top dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging Assisting in the preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals. About you To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: A safety mindset being aware of risks, following safety protocols, using PPE, and ensuring the safety of yourself and others while maintaining the grounds and equipment Knowledge of maintaining and repairing reticulation and irrigation systems, with supervision Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery Experience assisting in the upkeep of playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing under supervision Capability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level, or completion of an apprenticeship For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
