About You Marist Sisters' College Woolwich is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Maintenance Worker / Head Grounds Person to undertake general and maintenance work to ensure a clean, orderly and safe environment that enables enhanced student learning outcomes. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the ability to: prioritise and complete allocated work plans in accordance with School/College requirements assist with cleaning and repairs as a result of student accidents, extreme weather, etc plan and organise workflow to accomplish established objectives move items of furniture and classroom supplies around and set up furniture and equipment for sporting and special events complete daily security routines (including disabling of alarm system) and safety inspections of grounds and equipment promote a positive image of the School/College in all interactions support other teams during peak loads plan and execute maintenance of the school including gardens, paths, signage etc undertake minor repairs as required including plastering, painting and basic carpentry undertake minor repairs or replacements as required, including tap washers, light bulbs, furniture and equipment etc welcome and induct contractors to the school premises and escort them to their designated work area identify and report any risks to the school Business & Operations Manager follow chemical usage and storage procedures contribute to required committees, for example, the WHS committee comply with WHS standards to ensure compliance use technology and IT systems proficiently. Desirable criteria: previous experience in a school environment qualification in relevant trade.
