Now Careers are partnered with a leading manufacturer who are currently looking to add an inventory controller to their team based in St Marys, Western Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging distribution and collation of customer orders, despatch, goods receiving, stock take, inventory control and purchasing consumables and components. Responsibilities: Goods Receiving Receive incoming deliveries and make sure these are processed in SAP accurately and on time. Ensure all goods inwards are stored correctly and safely in the warehouse areas. Ensure to provide stock, tinplate and components to manufacturing areas as required without delay. Ensure the clearing of lines and wrap pallets correctly ready for despatch and place in the correct staging locations in the warehouse. Ensure tinplate store is packed, wrap and return all return stock items from the factory into the correct storage locations in the warehouse. Ensure stocks are stored and managed correctly and that stock rotation is carried out such that old stock is run out before new stock is consumed. Manage purchased stock components including review of stockholdings, SAP forecast, ordering and receipts. Review and order site consumables ( packing materials, chemicals etc) to minimise cost and avoid stockout. Book all coil deliveries into SAP and put coils away in a safe manner. Goods Despatch Book local and interstate freight transport with approved suppliers to meet customer DIFOT at lowest transport cost. Organise customer deliveries and process in SAP. Book and process container freight to other countries, including arranging all required export paperwork. From time to time obtain quotes for and arrange non-standard freight to support business needs locally, interstate and internationally. Organise transport loads, produce loading paperwork for the outwards goods warehouse team and ensure all available stocks are despatched to customers to meet customer IFOT targets. General Manage pallet stocks including in house pallet purchase, order of hire pallets, off-hire and transfer of pallets with zero negative hire pallet balance. Make sure scheduled cycle counts are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Participate in stock take including providing support and assistance to the stocktake teams Report and investigate any stock inaccuracies found Liaise with Supply chain manager despatch team leaders and inventory controllers in other NCI sites as required to support internal transfer of product and components in a timely manner Liaise with transport providers to ensure continued good service, raise issues where these occur and escalate issues to the Supply chain and planning Manager or Production Manager as required Provide support to Dispatch coordinator and cover for this position to cover leave as skills and experience allow. Update production data and spreadsheets as required From time to time other tasks as reasonably requested by management. What we are looking for: Previous experience in an inventory controller role, storeman or similar role. Current forklift license. Excellent computer literacy - Office, Outlook, SAP, ERP systems. Safety, quality, cost and customer focussed. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes. Excellent team player with clear written and verbal communication skills. Punctuality and reliability. Ambitious and career driven. What we offer: $75,000-$85,000 p/y. Monday - Friday 6:30am - 4:30pm Great work environment with supportive team and management.
